Committees

Development Committee

Responsible for raising and overseeing funds to carry out SURJ's operation and improving public relations.

Membership Committee

Oversees the effort to recruit new SURJ members from throughout the state, enlist community and religious organizations in SURJ's mission, and educate our members of SURJ developments.

Policy Committee

Responsible for researching and recommending SURJ policy positions.

Adult Corrections Subcommittee

Advises the Policy Committee in areas of adult corrections, including reentry, accreditation and classification.

Legislative Committee

Drafts, reviews and researches legislation.

Juvenile Justice Committee

Facilitates collaboration with other agencies working in juvenile justice and facilitates advocacy for relevant issues.
